About The Role
We are seeking a Global Product Manager – Insecticides to join our Global Product Development team. This is a strategic role responsible for the performance, positioning, and lifecycle management of key Active Ingredients (AIs) and their related products within ADAMA’s global insecticides portfolio. You will leverage data, market trends, and competitive insights to develop product strategies and recommendations that enhance both operational execution and commercial impact. This is a unique opportunity to gain a global view of agriculture and the crop protection industry, working cross-functionally across regions, cultures, and disciplines. Reports to the Insecticides Global Sector Head and to be based from UK, Germany, France, Italy or Spain.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategy and lifecycle management of assigned Active Ingredients and AI assets under the guidance of the Global Sector Head.
- Analyze market data and performance metrics to identify opportunities, gaps, and risks.
- Incorporate global trends, market developments, regulatory shifts, and competitor activity to guide strategic decision-making.
- Anticipate regulatory risks and help ensure continued “license to operate” for key actives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop business cases, investment recommendations, and portfolio trade-off decisions.
- Apply strong commercial judgment to drive P&L-positive prioritization, pricing, and resource allocation.
- Develop Asset, Product strategy and investment proposals to senior leadership and executive teams.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to optimize product value and ensure effective execution.
- Support in-licensing, out-licensing, regulatory risk management, and pipeline advancement.
- Act as the central hub for market intelligence, product strategy, and cross-functional alignment.
- Drive revenue and margin improvements through optimal product positioning and pricing strategies.
- Central information hub for your assets, products, supporting country marketing, provide training materials and performance (RTB).
About You – Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within the crop protection industry is essential.
- Strong strategic & commercial acumen with ability to translate market dynamics into clear product and asset strategies.
- Strong P&L thinking, including pricing, margin optimization, and portfolio trade-offs.
- Investment decision-making: building and defending business cases with clear value logic.
- Strong stakeholder management across functions (R&D, Regulatory, Supply, Finance, Commercial, Regions).
- Ability to lead without authority and align diverse teams around a common strategy.
- Facilitation skills to drive decisions, not just discussions.
- Clear, structured communication tailored to senior leadership.
- Ability to simplify complex analyses into compelling strategic narratives.
- End-to-end ownership mindset: from strategy to implementation and performance tracking. Confidence in challenging assumptions and influencing decisions at executive level.
- Strong analytical thinking and strategic mindset.
- Academic degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Biology, or a related field. MBA or business-related postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
