Job Opportunity at ACV Auctions, Chennai, India

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our Data Infrastructure team to advance our data platform performance, scalability, and reliability. In this role, you will mentor fellow engineers while addressing complex data and software challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Analysts to translate data requirements.
  • Influence engineering standards for databases, tooling, and build systems.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable high-performance data infrastructure.
  • Develop tools and best practices for access control, data versioning, and migration strategies.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and optimize systems performance.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and automation for infrastructure support.
  • Participate in SOX audits and maintain documentation for configurations.
  • Engage in on-call rotation and manage multiple priorities in an agile environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or related fields.
  • Experience in developing and delivering data infrastructure solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python and cloud platforms like GCP/AWS.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, containerized deployments, and automation tools such as Terraform.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to mentor team members.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with NoSQL, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Dynamo, Mongo, and cloud services integration.
  • Background in SOX compliance and data warehousing concepts.
