Overview

The Claims Representative at Acuity Insurance is an entry-level role starting in January 2026, specializing in investigating property, auto, or general liability claims while delivering best in class customer service.

Essential Functions

  • Investigate, evaluate and resolve multi-line property and liability claims.
  • Contact claimants and involved parties via phone, fax, and e-mail.
  • Evaluate policy coverage, assess damages, and forecast reserves.
  • Document claim activities, update claims system, and manage files.
  • Identify potentially fraudulent claims and refer to SIU.
  • Participate in off-hours storm claims duty as needed.
  • Engage in training and maintain a professional attitude.

Education, Experience & Training

A college degree or equivalent experience is required. Customer service or insurance experience is preferred. Selected candidates will complete up to 12 weeks of on-site training with expenses covered by Acuity.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with current computer technology.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Bilingual capabilities are a plus.

Compensation & Additional Information

The estimated salary range is $63,000 to $66,000 annually, based on education, experience, and skills. This role is classified as exempt and does not provide sponsorship for U.S. work authorization.
