About the Role: Growth Lead at Activate Talent

Activate Talent is seeking a hands-on Growth Lead to take full ownership of paid acquisition efforts across Meta and Google platforms. This is an active, not passive, role focusing on direct campaign management and performance creative strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize paid media campaigns personally.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing roadmaps.
  • Brief and shape high-converting creative assets.
  • Analyze performance deeply and make data-driven decisions.

You will be directly responsible for achieving profitable customer acquisition and driving scalable growth.

What You’ll Own

1. Paid Media Execution (Meta + Google)

  • Plan and manage advertising budgets effectively across Meta and Google.
  • Structure ad accounts for optimal efficiency in testing and scaling.
  • Develop and execute both retargeting and prospecting strategies.
  • Launch and optimize campaigns on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Manage key performance indicators such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Average Order Value (AOV), and Lifetime Value to Customer Acquisition Cost (LTV: CAC) targets.

2. Creative Strategy & Performance Briefing

  • Develop a structured roadmap for creative testing, focusing on hooks, angles, and formats.
  • Write clear, conversion-focused creative briefs for designers and User-Generated Content (UGC) creators.
  • Collaborate with the brand team to ensure performance creative maintains a premium feel.
  • Conduct granular analysis of creative performance metrics (e.g., hook rate, hold rate, thumbstop, Conversion Rate CVR).
  • Systematically iterate on successful concepts to maximize impact.

3. Testing & Experimentation

  • Design structured tests, including offer tests, landing page tests, and audience tests.
  • Build a robust, hypothesis-driven experimentation framework.
  • Identify scalable winning patterns versus one-off successes.
  • Continuously improve overall blended efficiency of campaigns.

4. Reporting & Insights

  • Own weekly and monthly growth reporting.
  • Track both channel-level and blended performance.
  • Identify leading indicators such as Click-Through Rate (CTR), Cost Per Click (CPC), and Conversion Rate (CVR) shifts.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.

What Success Looks Like

  • Achieving predictable and scalable new customer acquisition.
  • Maintaining CAC within defined target guardrails.
  • Demonstrating strong creative testing velocity.
  • Providing clear visibility into the drivers of incremental growth.

Who You Are

  • 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) media buying.
  • Deep, practical experience buying media on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google (Search, Display, YouTube).
  • Possess a strong combination of creative intuition and analytical rigor.
  • Obsessed with continuous testing and iteration.
  • Capable of operating independently without requiring heavy structural oversight.
  • Understands and can maintain premium brand positioning, not solely relying on discount-driven growth.

Bonus Points

  • Experience scaling fashion/apparel brands.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising impact on paid performance.
  • Experience working with creators and managing UGC pipelines.
