Senior Information Security Analyst
Company: Action for Children
Location: Remote, must be based permanently in the UK.
Contract: Permanent – 35 hours per week.
Salary: £52,000 per annum.

About the Role
The Senior Information Security Analyst role is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Head of Information Security. You will provide frontline expertise by running day-to-day information security controls, leading incident response, and driving improvements to safeguard data and services at Action for Children.
- Lead response to significant security events.
- Operate and enhance preventative and detective controls.
- Coordinate with Technology teams for vulnerability and remediation.
- Design targeted security awareness activities and maintain accurate records.
- Produce monthly and quarterly security management information.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate incident response and communicate with stakeholders.
- Improve and maintain security controls in cloud/SaaS environments.
- Manage secure configuration baselines and track exceptions.
- Produce and maintain policies, standards, and runbooks.
- Drive process improvement and automation projects.
About You
You should have a relevant security qualification (Security+, SSCP, CySA+, CISSP, GCIH or equivalent) and demonstrable experience in a live service environment. Experience with incident response, vulnerability management in modern cloud contexts, and producing clear operating procedures is required. A proven track record of process improvement and effective MI/KPI reporting is also important.
