Job Overview

The Junior IT Project Manager at Actalent is a part-time, remote role supporting the implementation of a data lake. The position involves planning, executing, and monitoring project activities while ensuring proper documentation, effective communication, and resource tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, and task lists.
  • Track project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Prepare project status reports and presentations.
  • Facilitate meetings and record minutes.
  • Support resource allocation and monitor budgets.
  • Update project tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, and Trello.
  • Identify risks and escalate issues to leadership.
  • Adhere to project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Assist with quality checks and compliance with governance standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of IT Project Manager experience. Previous experience in data lake projects and utility sectors is preferred.
