As the Senior Director of Product Management for Backup and Disaster Recovery (BDR), you will lead the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of Acronis’ BDR product portfolio, shaping the future of data resilience in an era of evolving cyber threats and cloud transformation. This role is critical in driving innovation, scalability, and market competitiveness for our MSP focused and corporate solutions, ensuring Acronis remains at the forefront of intelligent, autonomous, and AI-driven data protection. You will manage a team of product managers overseeing Backup and DR products, collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to deliver best-in-class solutions for MSPs and their customers. - Product Strategy & Vision: Define and execute the long-term strategy for the Backup & Disaster Recovery product portfolio, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Roadmap Ownership: Lead the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a dedicated team of product managers, fostering innovation and execution excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, and Support to deliver high-impact products.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to position our products effectively.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather insights and validate product direction.
- Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Partner with Marketing and Sales to drive product launches, messaging, and adoption.
- Metrics & Performance Tracking: Define KPIs, track product performance, and iterate based on data-driven insights.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in Backup, Disaster Recovery, Data Protection, and related enterprise IT infrastructure domains.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, managing product managers or cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical understanding of backup solutions (on-prem, cloud, hybrid), disaster recovery architectures, ransomware protection, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to define product strategy, prioritize roadmaps, and drive execution.
- Knowledge of MSP business models and the automation of their processes in service delivery. Additional knowledge of providers and B2B IT services is highly desirable.
- Experience with planning, resourcing, budgeting, handling dependencies, long-term roadmaps, Agile environments, project management, and virtual teaming.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
