About the Warehouse Associate II Role at Acosta Group

As a Warehouse Associate II at Acosta Group, a member of the Branch Distribution Center team, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our facilities. This position involves performing the full spectrum of receiving, storage, order picking, packaging, strapping, shipping, document control, physical inventory, and warehouse maintenance functions to support customer orders. You will regularly utilize both manual and mechanized materials handling equipment, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive materials from manufacturers and various sources including freight carriers, parcel services, FedEx, UPS, and U.S. Postal Service, adhering to Branch receiving procedures for quantity, condition, and packaging.
  • Place incoming stock in assigned locations and label products according to client instructions.
  • Prepare shipments for induction into UPS, USPS, and LTL systems, strictly following customer delivery timetable requirements.
  • Pull orders accurately from stock locations using Shipping Documents, maintaining the highest degree of precision in picking and double-checking case packs, stock numbers, and units of issue. Achieve a 100% RF scan rate.
  • Ensure products remain undamaged throughout the shipping process.
  • Pack, package, and label outgoing shipments as necessary to meet customer specifications and move them to the Staging Area.
  • Reconcile inventories of products stored in the Distribution Center.
  • Maintain a clean and organized Distribution Center by regularly sweeping, picking up trash, and disposing of it properly.
  • Operate materials handling equipment safely and in accordance with established corporate policy.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this Warehouse Associate II role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Two years of relevant warehouse experience is essential.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Requirements

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak and hear effectively.
  • Excellent computer skills are required, with prior experience in UPS, USPS, and LTL Shipping systems.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, and excellent attendance are mandatory.
  • Previous experience in small item receiving, order selecting, and shipping is required.
  • Candidates must be able to stand for the entire eight-hour shift.
