Acorns is seeking a Finance Intern to help enhance strategic and financial decision-making across the company. This role will work directly with the Senior Finance Manager as well as teams throughout the organization, including product, engineering, marketing and operations. This internship is a 10-week, full-time program, requiring 40 hours per week. Interns are expected to follow a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of two (2) days per week in the office.

To be eligible, candidates must be based in New York and able to reliably commute to the designated office location for in-person work requirements.

What You Will Do At Acorns

  • Assist in building and updating financial models and scenarios to inform long-term forecasting and strategic decision-making
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Data teams to provide financial insights that support ongoing business initiatives and growth.
  • Streamline finance workflows by identifying opportunities for automation and enhancing existing analytical tools to accelerate decision-making.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc analyses and high-impact presentations that provide leadership with visibility into the company’s financial health
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product, business model, and the competitive landscape

What You Will Bring To Acorns

  • Junior standing (Graduating 2027) majoring in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must be able to work for the duration of the internship (full-time availability for 10-weeks starting in June 2026)
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, specifically for financial modeling.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to analyze and present data in a logical manner.

Compensation Information

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $22.50/hour. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify hourly rates (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
