Role Summary
The Senior Technical Project Manager will be instrumental in leading the comprehensive Optimus & PDM microservices transformation project at AceStack. This critical role involves managing all facets of the project, including resources, timelines, budgets, risks, and crucial stakeholder communication. Success in this position demands extensive expertise in overseeing large-scale software transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, timeline, budget, and resources for a 10-12 FTE team.
- Develop and meticulously maintain the project plan, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies across all 5 phases.
- Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and key stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure seamless coordination between the Solution Architect, Tech Leads, and development teams.
- Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear project status communication to executive leadership.
- Ensure strict adherence to project methodologies, specifically Agile/Scrum, and industry best practices.
- Manage change requests, scope changes, and conduct thorough impact analysis.
- Track project progress, metrics, and KPIs, and report comprehensively on project health.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and external dependencies with precision.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality deliverables, conduct code reviews, and uphold testing standards.
- Manage all project documentation, facilitate knowledge management, and ensure smooth handover processes.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and foster strong team collaboration.
- Ensure project compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing large-scale software projects.
- Methodology: Expert-level knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
- Tools: Expert-level knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, and Confluence.
- Budget: Strong budget management, cost estimation, and financial analysis skills.
- Risk Management: Expert-level risk management, issue tracking, and mitigation strategies.
- Communication: Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, team management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Technical: Strong understanding of software development, .NET, microservices, and cloud technologies.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or similar project management certifications.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with microservices transformation projects.
- Experience with .NET Framework to .NET 8 migration projects.
- Experience within the insurance or financial services (BFSI) domain.
- Experience managing development teams of 10 or more people.
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
