Job Description

In a safe and efficient manner, provide maintenance services to internal and external guests and operate the building environmental system. Communicate effectively and professionally with guests and colleagues, respond to requests in a timely manner, and assist in achieving departmental and hotel goals.

Compensation

Starting Rate: $36.12 per hour. Compensation increases each year on September 1st, with a rate of $37.02 effective September 1, 2025.

Job Duties Include:

  • Monitor, maintain, and repair HVAC, boilers, chillers, and refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct regular facility rounds and preventive maintenance in compliance with safety standards.
  • Support emergency response efforts with flexible scheduling including nights and weekends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and assist other trades as needed.
  • Provide professional, accountable, and guest-focused service following hotel policies.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory 4th Class Power Engineer certification.
  • Canadian Class 5 driver’s license in good standing.
  • Proficient in energy management and building automation systems.
  • Skilled in building management, code compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Computer literacy specific to technical and facility management software.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
