About Ibis Melbourne Hotel & Apartments
Ibis Melbourne Hotel & Apartments, located near the vibrant Melbourne CBD and Queen Victoria Markets, is looking for a Part time Assistant Manager to join its thriving environment. This 250-room hotel features a restaurant and three conference spaces. As our unofficial director of first impressions, you will ensure every person feels welcome and create memorable experiences right from the start.
The Role of an Assistant Manager
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Front Desk, ensuring all hotel guests and visitors receive an optimum level of service and care at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee guest arrivals and departures, ensuring room allocations and check-in/out processes adhere to agreed procedures and standards.
- Manage and supervise staff tasks to ensure the highest quality service is delivered and department standards are met.
- Provide loyalty incentives, whilst applying a creative lens that is ambitious & “out-of-the-box”.
- Review and implement operational procedures.
- Communicate with the Hotel Manager on all matters regarding guest services and hotel operations.
- Supervise shift handover procedures.
- Coordinate and communicate with other hotel departments regarding general administration and operations issues.
- Maintain a management presence at all times, assisting with handling guests’ needs and complaints tactfully and efficiently.
