The Role: Information Security Compliance Support
The Information Security Compliance Support specialist will be a key member of the Enterprise Compliance Support team within the Information Security organization. This role provides essential day-to-day operational support for our security compliance programs. You will actively contribute to multiple facets of security compliance methodologies, including supporting and implementing improvements on current and future processes under direct oversight. This position requires close collaboration with other IS and IT teams, as well as various business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will apply their existing experience to review and enhance business processes. After becoming familiar with the role, you will be encouraged to propose strategies that improve process efficiencies. This function serves as a primary point of contact for internal customers, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Think analytically, solve problems, make decisions, and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Participate in meetings with technical and business stakeholders to gather business and functional requirements and perform business process analysis.
- Create detailed System Security Plan (SSP) narratives that articulate how each system meets its respective SSP controls.
- Gather and organize metrics and other information to effectively present escalations to leadership.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, leveraging well-developed communication skills.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to document processes and services.
- Work within teams to implement value-added recommendations that strengthen internal processes and improve operating efficiencies.
- Perform other analytic and provisioning duties as assigned.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with 3 years of work experience, or a high school degree with 7+ years of equivalent work experience in IT, cybersecurity, risk, or related disciplines.
- Familiarity with various security-related NIST publications (e.g., SP 800-53, SP 800-171, etc.).
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Bonus If You Have
- Experience writing technical documentation.
- CompTIA Security+, Azure Fundamentals, Network+, or A+ certifications or equivalent.
- Active Directory/Azure Active Directory experience.
