Job Description

AI Technical Product Manager (Strategy & Delivery)

At Accenture Federal Services (AFS), we are dedicated to strengthening the US federal government and improving lives through technology and ingenuity. Join our team of over 13,000 professionals who are passionate about leveraging technology to serve defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health organizations.

Accenture Federal Services, a part of global Accenture, is recognized as a Glassdoor Top 100 Best Place to Work. We foster a collaborative and supportive community where you will be empowered to grow and thrive through hands-on experience, certifications, and industry training. We are looking for individuals who are driven to make a positive, lasting impact and move missions forward.

Build AI That Matters at National Scale

At AFS, we transform AI from roadmaps into operational products used by millions across critical government sectors. We prioritize reliability, privacy, and safety in everything we build. You will be part of a community that tackles some of the most consequential AI product challenges of our time, growing your skills through hands-on delivery and continuous learning.

Role Overview

As an AI Technical Product Manager, you will define and deliver AI-enabled products that align mission needs with measurable outcomes. Your responsibilities include setting vision, strategy, and roadmaps; translating stakeholder requirements into actionable work; and leading cross-functional teams (data, AI, engineering, policy, security) to deliver products rapidly. You will embed Responsible AI and governance by design, ensuring products are trusted, auditable, and scalable.

This role focuses on product strategy, governance, and delivery, not foundational model training. Your expertise will be in leveraging existing models and platforms to create safe, reliable, and user-friendly experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Translate mission goals into product KPIs (adoption, latency, reliability, safety, cost) and build outcome-based roadmaps and investment cases.
  • Convert ambiguous needs into prioritized user stories and release plans; manage MVPs, A/B tests, and progressive delivery in regulated environments.
  • Operationalize policy-as-code, prompt version lifecycle, guardrails (filtering, citations), human-in-the-loop flows, and audit trails aligned to federal standards.
  • Collaborate with architects to select appropriate patterns (LLM, RAG, agents, analytics), data access models, and Zero Trust integrations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
  • Establish evaluation harnesses (helpfulness, safety, factuality), define SLIs/SLOs (quality, latency, cost), and drive incident/postmortem rigor to reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR).
  • Align with business owners, CDO/CIO/CISO/legal/compliance; facilitate decision forums; and communicate value and risk clearly.
  • Develop playbooks, templates, and product operating models that can scale across multiple mission teams; mentor other PMs and cross-functional leads.
  • Ensure products meet SLOs, pass audits, and function within real-world constraints (hybrid, restricted, or air-gapped environments).

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering AI and data-powered products at enterprise scale, demonstrating measurable business results and mission impact.
  • Proficiency in backlog management, roadmap ownership, KPI definition, experimentation (MVPs/A/B), and iterative releases to improve time-to-value.
  • Practical experience embedding guardrails, privacy/security controls, and auditability into product delivery.
  • Comfortable partnering with engineering, data/AI, security/compliance, and policy/operations teams.
  • Ability to reason about LLM orchestration, RAG/agents, data/platform architecture, and evaluation at a level sufficient to review designs and validate solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into production systems with measurable adoption and reliability.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in regulated/secure environments, including audit-ready controls, ATO-like processes, STIGs, and Zero Trust.
  • Familiarity with platforms/services such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir, vector search, and catalog/lineage tooling.
  • Exposure to LLM evaluation frameworks, prompt lifecycle management, policy-based filtering, and agent workflows.
  • Contributions to product playbooks/standards or open-source projects; experience with executive-level storytelling and proposal support.
