Job Description
AI & Data Operations Intern
The AI & Data Operations Intern will support ongoing artificial intelligence and data initiatives by assisting with AI prompting, output evaluation, data labeling, and synthetic dataset generation. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented individual interested in applied AI, machine learning workflows, and data quality practices. The intern will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to help improve the reliability, usability, and performance of AI-driven tools.
Work Location
NYC OFFICE: 685 3rd Ave.: Must be able to go into the office every Wednesday.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine AI prompts to support various use cases and experimentation.
- Evaluate and review AI generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, bias, and quality.
- Label and annotate structured and unstructured data to support model training and evaluation.
- Assist in the creation and validation of synthetic datasets for testing and analysis.
- Document findings, evaluation results, and prompt improvements in a clear and organized manner.
- Follow established data handling, confidentiality, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to support broader AI, analytics, and automation initiatives.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
- Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, information systems, analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines.
- Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Clear written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AI tools, large language models, or prompt engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with data labeling, quality review, or testing workflows.
- Interest in machine learning, natural language processing, or applied AI use cases.
- Experience using collaboration or documentation tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, Confluence).
