Your Role as an IT Data Engineer
As an IT Data Engineer, you will be part of a team specifically focused on future-proof technologies and frameworks to help accelerate the bank’s strategy and initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee designing, developing, and implementing ETL frameworks and data pipelines. Your primary goal will be to enable other teams to deliver their data to consumers efficiently and cost-effectively. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing robust software solutions deployed in the Azure Cloud, leveraging a variety of cutting-edge technologies.
You will work within a diverse Agile/Scrum DevOps team, holding end-to-end responsibility for developing, managing, and maintaining functionalities within the Credit Capability Team area. This role offers the freedom to grow and experiment, supporting and guiding colleagues to become technical experts contributing to a future-proof bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective ETL frameworks and data pipelines.
- Develop and review software solutions for deployment in the Azure Cloud environment.
- Utilize technologies such as Databricks, Kafka, Airflow, and Azure DevOps.
- Work as part of an Agile/Scrum DevOps team with end-to-end responsibility for features.
- Contribute to innovation and advancements within the department.

Your Profile
You are a technical expert, always up-to-date on the latest technologies, and thrive in a dynamic technical environment. We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and experience:
Development Skills:
- At least 10 years of experience working with Azure.
- Proficiency in Python and a willingness to learn other programming languages.
- Extensive experience with Databricks and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Highly desirable knowledge of streaming technologies, specifically Kafka.
- Experience with deploying and creating Azure infrastructure.
Operations Skills:
- Knowledge of change and incident management, for example, using ServiceNow.
Soft Skills:
- High English proficiency.
- Demonstrated working experience with Scrum/Agile principles.
- Excellent communication skills.
