Job Description

Site HR Partner

ABM is hiring a Site HR Partner to support all HR related functions for approximately 650 ABM janitorial, cabin cleaning and passenger assist frontline employees and managers at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This role focuses on the hourly workforce and may involve supervising clerical professionals. Key responsibilities include managing payroll and benefits inquiries, administering labor contracts, overseeing training, handling employee relations, recruitment, and ensuring policy and legal adherence.

Responsibilities

Business Partner
  • Serves as an active business partner and coach to managers, providing guidance on hourly employee performance and conflict resolution.
  • Offers HR support in development & coaching, performance management, workplace investigations, and implementing diversity initiatives.
  • Influences management decisions with proactive advice while upholding HR policy and seeking creative solutions.
  • Supports the execution of HR initiatives and develops/delivers training programs.
  • Builds rapport with employees to improve productivity as an HR subject matter expert.
Onboarding & Recruitment
  • Collaborates with Operations Leadership and Talent Acquisition on recruitment and selection.
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience and compliance with hiring practices and employment law.
  • Completes new hire paperwork accurately and timely, ensuring I-9 and eVerify compliance.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation and follows up to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Employee Relations
  • Administers HR plans and procedures in compliance with Corporate direction and assists with local HR policies.
  • Consults with business leaders on appropriate courses of action and maintains open communication with employees.
  • Investigates and manages routine employee matters, providing constructive resolutions with Corporate HR support.
  • Provides guidance on employee behavior and performance concerns, assisting with disciplinary actions.
  • Facilitates thorough investigations of employee concerns and advises management on policy and law application.
  • Monitors terminations, responds to unemployment issues, and conducts exit interviews.
  • Educates managers on ER topics and develops programs to support employee retention and engagement.
  • Interprets corporate policy, employment law, and regulations for immediate advice and clarification.
Employee Development & Performance Management
  • Ensures compliance with performance management processes and partners with leaders on evaluation tools.
  • Provides coaching on performance documents, improvement plans, and counseling.
  • Partners with scheduling and tracking of training, and participates in training delivery.
  • Provides benefits and enrollment information, coordinating enrollments and terminations with the corporate office.
  • Coordinates 401(k) enrollment information and meetings.
Compliance
  • Provides administrative support for compliance, creating and maintaining employee files.
  • Performs audits on personnel records to maintain standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Works closely with Client Human Resources to ensure HR practices align with requirements.
  • Participates in regulatory readiness activities.
Client Relations
  • Promotes a customer service mindset and treats others with courtesy and respect.
  • Applies a process improvement mindset and PDCA approach to problem-solving.
  • Conducts customer surveys to verify and improve satisfaction levels.

Qualifications

Education/Training
  • Preferred: BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related discipline.
Job Knowledge/Experience
  • Required: Minimum 2 years of prior Human Resource generalist experience, including employee relations/conducting employment investigations.
  • Preferred: SPHR or PHR certification.
Language/Writing/Communication Requirements
  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and business software.
  • Preferred: Spanish-language fluency.
