About the Role
Abbott is seeking a Sr. IT Project Coordinator to support IT MA&D initiatives. This role is crucial for coordinating project activities, tracking deliverables, and ensuring effective communication across IT workstreams and business partners. You will work closely with IT Program and Project Managers to execute integration and separation activities in alignment with Abbott Transition Office and deal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Execution: Support IT projects related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and licensing activities under the direction of Senior IT Program Manager.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, milestones, RAID logs, and action items.
- Coordinate activities across various IT workstreams, including Infrastructure, Applications, Cybersecurity, and Quality.
- Track deliverables and dependencies to ensure timelines and commitments are met.
- Stakeholder & Team Support: Act as a coordination point between IT Workstream Leads, the Abbott Transition Office, and business Partners.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings, capturing notes, decisions, and follow-ups.
- Prepare basic project status reports and presentations for governance and leadership forums.
- Governance, Risk & Issue Management: Support project governance activities, including status reporting, escalation tracking, and documentation.
- Assist in identifying risks, issues, and gaps, and track mitigation actions to closure.
- Support post-close activities such as lessons learned and documentation updates.
- Financial & Administrative Support: Assist with tracking project budgets, forecasts, and spend as directed.
- Support basic review of project financials and alignment to approved scope and deal assumptions.
- Help manage documentation related to contracts, licensing, and procurement processes.
- Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement: Maintain project documentation, templates, and artifacts.
- Create, update, and organize MA&D project content on SharePoint sites, ensuring information is current and accurate.
- Support updates to MA&D playbooks, tools, and standard processes as needed.
Skills & Experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail with the ability to track progress and follow through on deliverables.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and basic project tracking tools.
- Familiarity with project management fundamentals and IT concepts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–6 years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in IT or corporate environments.
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or large cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Basic understanding of IT workstreams, governance, or compliance requirements.
- Prior experience supporting executive-level or governance presentations.
