The Opportunity

Join our Corporate Human Resources team at Abbott Park, IL. As an Associate Specialist Administration, you will support benefits and leave of absence administration and contribute to HR operations with a focus on customer service and process improvement.

What You’ll Work On

  • Issue Resolution: Manage priorities, address escalations, and implement process improvements.
  • Analytical Thinking: Evaluate data from multiple sources to resolve challenges.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements for operational efficiency.
  • Project Support: Help with key Program Administration initiatives aligned with Global HR Services.
  • Operational Execution: Administer programs with collaboration and attention to detail.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with global HR teams to resolve issues.
  • Compliance: Adhere to protocols and escalate potential risks.
  • GHRS Initiatives: Support development and execution of key projects.

Position Accountability & Scope

This position reports to the Manager/Supervisor of Program Administration and collaborates locally, regionally, and globally across various HR teams.

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree with 2 years relevant experience or 4 years without a degree.
  • Experience in administering benefits and leave programs.
  • Strong communication skills in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with HR technologies like Zendesk and Workday is preferred.
  • Competencies include problem-solving, analytical thinking, process improvement, collaboration, and attention to detail.
