About the Role
At ABB, progress is an expectation - for you, your team, and the world. As an IS Application Development Manager, you will lead our internal Information Systems (IS) application delivery team. You will plan, design, develop, and deliver high-quality .NET solutions that support critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Project Management: Guide a team of 3-4 developers, manage task allocation, conduct code reviews, and oversee career development.
- System Architecture & Core Development: Design scalable, secure, and high-performance .NET system architectures and core modules.
- End-to-End Technical Oversight: Oversee the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Microsoft Platform Integration: Implement solutions using Microsoft technologies including Azure, on-premise systems, and manage change, security, and permissions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, global/local IS teams, and vendors to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of .NET full-stack development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or project management role.
Core Technical Competencies:
- Expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET 5+, ASP.NET MVC/Web API
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design, MVC, and Microservices
- Experience with SQL Server or MySQL and performance optimization
- Practical experience in Azure cloud services and containerization (e.g., Docker)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, advanced communication, and problem-solving skills
