Head of Functional Cost Controlling

In the role of Head of Functional Cost Controlling, you will act as the Finance Business partner for ABB Robotics’ Functional Leadership. You will be responsible for controlling functional and corporate build-up costs in the spin-off process.

Responsibilities

You will lead key financial activities including:

• Functional cost controlling: Budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of ~$200M annual spend.
• Spin-Off Readiness: Design standalone processes and governance for carve-out allocations.
• Business Partnering: Collaborate with leaders across divisions to challenge costs and provide insights.
• Process, Systems & Data Management: Develop efficient reporting systems and cost allocation processes.
• Reporting & Compliance: Establish KPIs and internal controls to support executive decisions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A university degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• 8-10 years of international finance/controlling experience.
• At least 5 years of direct experience managing large functional/HQ budgets (~$100M+).
• Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, HFM, and understanding of US GAAP/IFRS.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
