Original Job Summary
Role Overview
The IT Engineer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining IT infrastructure for the North American affiliate businesses of the AB Dynamics Group (AB Dynamics inc., Dynamic Research inc, and Venshure Test Services). The role supports IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance, and acts as the primary escalation point for IT support issues across the three entities.
Location & Travel
This role will be based at DRI in Torrance, CA, with occasional travel to Wixom, MI, to support sister companies.
Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Troubleshoot internal IT issues and support security measures.
- Manage software patching, asset management, and hardware setups.
- Oversee on-premise and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Handle support requests ensuring high system availability.
Requirements
- Proven IT administration experience, especially with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Solid knowledge of Office 365, Hyper-V, and Active Directory (Microsoft certifications desirable).
- Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and scripting (PowerShell).
- Familiarity with security best practices and tools such as firewalls and antivirus systems.
- Good communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
