Role Overview
The Statistician – Rare Diseases Ophthalmology will design, analyze, and report clinical trials in rare diseases with a strong focus on ophthalmology. The role involves drafting statistical analysis plans, performing sample size calculations, developing endpoint strategies, and generating outputs for study reports and regulatory filings.
- Provide statistical leadership in clinical trial studies.
- Work cross-functionally with teams on data integrity.
- Contribute to regulatory submissions and internal standards.
- Guide study design decisions and long-term methodologies.
- Mentor junior statisticians in a collaborative setting.
Skills & Experience
Ideal candidates will have an MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics or related, with 5-10 years of experience in clinical trial statistics. Proficiency in SAS and/or R is required, along with hands-on experience in rare-disease and ophthalmology studies. Familiarity with regulatory expectations and longitudinal data analysis is essential.
