The Role: Administration Officer

The Administration Officer role is responsible for supporting the IDG teams growing number of projects and internal development initiatives. The role will provide administrative support to AARNet’s Land Access team.

This is a 15 month maximum term role to cover a secondment in the team.

As a member of the IDG team, you will provide effective support for a variety of project staff, working to successfully deliver telecomunnication services to our customers. Your personable manner and positive attitude will ensure successful engagement with our internal and external stakeholders. The individual in this role will be highly organised and comfortable completing land access activities.

Providing many of the underlying components required for successful project delivery, you will contribute the continued development of critical AARNet infrastructure and have the opportunity to work across different aspects of project support and develop further expertise in specific areas of interest.

A desire to develop, complimented by your flexible approach to taking on a range tasks will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Efficient maintenance and management of internal data systems
  • Drafting & reviewing documentation for external stakeholders
  • Track the delivery of project documents, proactively triaging, prioritising and actioning next steps
  • Updating relevant internal project systems in a timely manner
  • Creating and compiling documents to support the effective operation of the Major Infrastructure team (procedure development & improvement)
  • General data entry
  • Managing internal data systems ensuring accurate data and project information across systems
  • Drive, prepare and maintain project documentation.

Expertise, Experience & Qualifications

  • Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organization skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • You have strong computer skills and proven experience using Microsoft Office Programs (e.g. excel)
  • Ability to work independently and represent AARNet in a professional manner
