Music Administration Intern at A24
A24 is seeking a dedicated and organized part-time, in-office Music Administration Intern to join our Music team in West Hollywood. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a leading entertainment company, supporting crucial music administration tasks for our diverse Film and TV slate.
As an intern, you will contribute up to 15 hours per week, with 2-3 days spent in our West Hollywood office, collaborating closely with the Music Supervisor and various internal teams.
Initial Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Music Supervisor to maintain and update project tracking grids across the Film and TV slate.
- Assist with project scheduling, coordination, and internal timelines.
- Review, catalog, and organize incoming Film cue sheets; maintain accurate and up-to-date music legal archives.
- Serve as key point of contact with A24’s music publishing administrator for required paperwork, tracking grids, and scheduling.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining A24’s music-related folders, databases, and archives (including DISCO).
- Own the tracking and clearance of sound design and effect cues for marketing campaign assets.
- Liaise between Music Supervisor, Marketing, and Post finishing leads to coordinate timely review and delivery of marketing materials with respect to music.
- Track upcoming marketing campaign plans and music needs.
- Create market marked video files for rights holder review as needed.
- Communicate cleared music rights and restrictions to internal and external partners as needed.
- Download, review and ingest cue sheets from external marketing partners (trailer houses, music houses, etc.) and track accordingly.
- Issue and track P.O. numbers and incoming music licenses for review.
Qualifications
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple workflows and priorities across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience supporting music clearance, licensing, or legal administration preferred.
- Strong interest in film music, music supervision, and music culture.
- Familiarity with and passion for the A24 brand.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Dropbox, Excel, and other commonly used applications.
