Original Job Summary
Overview
A24 is seeking a driven and dynamic Junior Counsel to join our legal team in West Hollywood. This role supports A24’s scripted TV and corporate business and plays a key role in legal operations across both teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft entertainment-related contracts including certificates, option purchase agreements, and assignment agreements.
- Draft and review legal documents such as credit facility agreements, chain of title documentation, and intercompany rights contracts for film and TV projects.
- Review and negotiate routine commercial contracts like NDAs, order forms, and terms of service.
- Organize and maintain an extensive archive of contracts and legal documents.
- Coordinate with talent agents, lawyers, and external counsel to facilitate negotiations and resolve legal queries.
- Collaborate with internal teams (production, finance, international) for project financing documentation and information.
- Manage operations with outside legal production partners for active productions.
- Oversee A24’s corporate structure by handling entity formations and ongoing maintenance.
- Maintain tracking systems, adopt new technologies, and create efficient workflows for our corporate legal department functions.
Qualifications
- J.D. with strong academic performance and membership in good standing with the California bar.
- 1-3 years of transactional experience in TV/film business affairs, corporate media, or entertainment law firm; entry-level candidates with internships considered.
- Strong understanding of contracts, intellectual property law, and entertainment industry legal frameworks.
- Proficiency in legal research databases, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn company-specific software.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.

Compensation & Benefits
The target salary range for this role is between $100,000 to $140,000, with actual salary based on experience and skills. This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus, competitive healthcare, and other employee benefits.
