Job Description
Acquisitions & Development Intern at A24
A24 is seeking a part-time, in-office summer intern to join the Acquisitions & Development (ADP) team. This internship, part of A24’s Summer Undergraduate Internship Program, offers a well-rounded and immersive experience, providing interns with cross-functional exposure and professional development opportunities alongside peers. The role requires availability for up to 25 hours per week from June 15th to August 13th, and is based in our West Hollywood office. While candidates from any US location are welcome, relocation benefits are not provided.
Responsibilities
- Script coverage for features, shorts, and screenplays, including clear summaries, critical thoughts, identified strengths and concerns, and actionable notes.
- In-depth script analysis and long-form script comparison coverage.
- Assistance in managing and maintaining extensive film festival calendars, comprehensive spreadsheets, and detailed film status trackers using Excel, Google Calendar, and Airtable.
- Conducting extensive research on various film festivals, production companies, and talent.
- General support across development and operations as projects progress.
- Occasional administrative support tasks.
Qualifications
- Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong ability to follow directions closely while also taking initiative.
- A genuine willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to be concise, direct, and specific.
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through, comfortable managing multiple deadlines effectively.
- Good story instincts and the capability to provide thoughtful, useful feedback complemented by strong marketplace judgment.
- Familiarity with the film festival circuit and/or creative development processes.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Calendar, Sheets, Drive) and Airtable.
