Responsibilities:

• Support key operational and strategic planning activities by preparing, analyzing, and reviewing planning outputs.
• Strengthen routing and container flow logic through targeted quantitative analysis grounded in optimization models and algorithms.
• Identify data or logic gaps and propose improvements that raise planning accuracy and reduce manual work.
• Provide clear analytical insights that help planners understand outcomes and make informed decisions.
• Maintain and refine small scripts that improve recurring metrics and reporting.
• Translate planning needs into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with planning, equipment, finance, and technical teams to align inputs and assumptions.
• Communicate findings in a structured way and convert feedback into actionable enhancements.
• Support testing and sign-off of new analytical features.
• Document updates to logic and processes in a clear and accessible format.

Accountabilities:

• High-quality planning deliverables that support operational and strategic decisions.
• Strong data integrity across planning inputs and outputs.
• A prioritized and well-prepared backlog of analytical improvements.
• Accurate reporting of planning and performance metrics.
• Clear communication that supports alignment and timely decisions.
• Successful user acceptance of new features.
• Continuous improvement in planning quality and reduced manual adjustments.
• Progress towards more automated and scalable planning workflows.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field with exposure to optimization or modeling.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for analytics, modeling, and data sourcing.
• Understanding of modeling and optimization principles and how algorithms support real planning problems.
• Ability to convert planning needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Analytical strength to validate logic and troubleshoot issues.
• A proactive mindset with structured, clear communication.
• Ability to collaborate smoothly across diverse functions and build strong working relationships that support clear communication, shared problem-solving, and aligned decision-making.
• Discipline in testing, documentation, and data quality assurance.
