DevOps Engineer

This opportunity is for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer at 7Seventy Recruiting to support and optimize mission-critical infrastructure in a high-performance, event-driven trading environment. The role impacts system reliability, execution speed, and overall operational performance in processing millions of market data points.

What You’ll Do

• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available, low-latency infrastructure across AWS, co-located servers, and Google Cloud.
• Optimize systems to meet sub-millisecond latency requirements.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Develop and support ML operations pipelines and manage DataBricks environments.
• Implement automated model deployment, monitoring, and rollback procedures.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks.
• Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and lead incident responses.
• Implement and maintain robust security controls for financial infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps or Platform Engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency with AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong experience with DataBricks for big data and ML workloads.
• Proficiency with GitHub, CI/CD workflows and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog).
• Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, and/or Go) and automation frameworks.
• Understanding of network optimization, kernel tuning, and hardware acceleration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or trading environments.
• Knowledge of derivatives markets, trading systems, or market data feeds.
• Experience with streaming data platforms like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Familiarity with quantitative finance or ML model deployment.
• Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, CKA/CKAD).

Compensation

$225,000.00 - $325,000.00 per year
