The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Security Analyst within our Cyber Security team. In this role, you will contribute to the monitoring, detection, and response to cyber security incidents, support vulnerability management activities, and help operate and continuously improve our cyber security platforms.You will work closely with our Managed Detection & Response (MDR) provider, internal technology teams, and security vendors to ensure effective security operations across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and triage security incidents and alerts, including tickets raised by our MDR provider, and support incident investigation and response activities.
- Support the operation of our Vulnerability Management Solution (VMS), including the identification, tracking, and timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Review and action security-related service requests, such as application allow listing and web browsing control requests.
- Assist in the ongoing tuning, optimisation, and operational effectiveness of security platforms in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Contribute to the design, build, and run of enterprise cyber security services, including (but not limited to): Network security controls (e.g. firewalls, IPS), Endpoint security, Email and web security gateways, Cloud and SaaS security controls.
What’s In Your Toolkit
- At least 12 months experience working in a SOC or incident response environment.
- Working knowledge of multiple cyber security platforms and controls (e.g. SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, email or network security).
- Experience supporting cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to follow defined processes while continuously looking for improvement opportunities.
