Overview Of Role
A client of 66degrees is seeking a consultant for a 6-month remote contract with potential to extend or convert. The Security Support Helpdesk MFA role will function within the Security Support team to support helpdesk operations by addressing multi-factor authentication (MFA) issues and related challenges.
Responsibilities
- User Authentication Management: Provide direct support for MFA issues including troubleshooting, token resets, and user education.
- Password and Passkey Operations: Handle password resets, assist with account recovery, and drive the conversion to passkey authentication while resolving technical issues.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive guides and internal documentation for security support procedures.
- Training: Create and deliver training materials on security best practices, emphasizing MFA, passkeys, and secure password management.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of IT support/help desk experience with a security focus.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles and hands-on experience with MFA, password management, and passkeys.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex authentication issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clear, effective communication.
- Basic understanding of information security principles, network protocols, and security technologies.
