Role Overview

This is a 6-month remote contract position with potential for extension or conversion. The role involves managing multiple aspects of information security operations, response, and engineering independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete assigned information security projects.
• Support Security Operations and Engineering ensuring client applications are secure.
• Be available 24/7 for critical incident response.
• Maintain and monitor operational security tooling.
• Develop and execute incident response playbooks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and posture management initiatives.
• Provide Level I support for password resets and MFA management.
• Assist with remediation, vulnerability analysis, and reporting.
• Support security audits, compliance, and vendor reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technology.
• Certifications such as GSEC, CISSP, GIAC, or AWS preferred.
• 5+ years in information security operations.
• 3+ years of cloud infrastructure and O365 services experience.
• Strong incident response, security tooling and scripting skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards like ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC2, PCI, and SOX.
