The Lead Power BI Developer role at 3Cloud focuses on specializing in Power BI with a strong emphasis on data. You must possess advanced knowledge of Power BI and its data components, including Power Query/M, DAX, and dimensional modeling, alongside experience in basic report design. A working knowledge of conventional SQL Server (data warehouse design, SSIS, and SSRS) and DirectQuery is beneficial. You will also need to understand various Power BI License models and effectively guide customers to achieve optimal licensing for their business needs. Experience utilizing the Databricks platform for developing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and workflows is essential. Strong communication skills are vital for interacting with clients, their staff, and specialists from related fields such such as database developers and software engineers. Your outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a solid grasp of both the technical and business aspects of business intelligence and a commitment to staying updated with the latest Power BI advancements, will make you an ideal candidate. Responsibilities

• Conduct customer discovery meetings to determine reporting requirements.
• Understand and collaborate with customers on Power BI Licensing, including the limits and advantages of each platform.
• Create high-performing star schema data models for use with Power BI, incorporating proper calculated columns and measures.
• Develop comprehensive Power BI solutions for customers, encompassing data import from multiple sources, report and dashboard construction, and creation of appropriate data elements using DAX and source queries.
• Guide customers on deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service (Gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, Data Updates).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer, engineering, data science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience managing/leading a team.
• 8+ years working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack for Business Intelligence (SSRS, Power BI, PowerPivot (Excel), or PerformancePoint), or other vendor Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP).
• Working knowledge of TSQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI or other Microsoft tools.
• Experience creating complete Power BI report solutions based on business questions with linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters.
• Dynamic measure designs using advanced DAX techniques.
• Knowledge of data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M language.
• Utilize Databricks platform to develop, implement, and optimize data pipelines and workflows.
• Ability to make appropriate report visual choices and define visual interactions.
• Design, develop, and implement user interfaces to ensure ease of use and minimal knowledge required by the functional work group.
• Ability to gather requirements and conduct focus groups to determine the processes needed to assist and grow the business.

• Power BI tenant and workspace management to support development, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with analytics and custom visualizations for Power BI using Python, R.
• Advanced SQL including some query tuning.
• Experience in the identification of data quality issues.
• Experience deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI Report Server (on-premises).
• Experience deploying Power BI solutions using Power BI Embedded.
• Deploying cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL DB.
