About the Role
360Learning is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team. As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for scoping custom technical and consulting projects, building custom solutions, coordinating with the Technical Services team, and delivering on those projects for our clients. You will work closely with our sales and development teams to understand client needs and translate them into technical solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
As a Technical Consultant, you are part of our implementation team, playing a key role in seamlessly onboarding new customers. You will work cross-departmentally (Sales, Product, and Customer Success) to understand and document client use cases and requirements, then translate them into the setup and configuration of the 360Learning platform, as well as specifications for the development of Technical Solutions. You will support and manage all phases of the implementation lifecycle, from sales turnover and kick-off to handover to support, mainly on strategic accounts as a technical expert. You will define 360Learning platform architecture for our clients, facilitate integrations (flat files, API’s), 3rd party apps, and guide and provide assistance to ensure the successful deployment of their platform.
As we grow, we need to continue to automate and find repeatable solutions. Part of your job will be to design tools to either support the rest of the team and specific customer’s requests, and avoid time-consuming work.
What You Will Do
- Within 1 month: Become a Trello expert through our onboarding process; Understand our product offering through training; Master our platform and be able to support clients on basic requests through ticketing; Master our integration possibilities (Workato, data lake, flat files, APIs).
- Within 3 months: Work with clients to understand their technical requirements and scope projects accordingly; Collaborate with our sales and development teams to design and implement solutions that meet client requirements; Ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget; Provide technical expertise and support to clients throughout the project lifecycle; Continuously learn about new technologies and stay up-to-date with industry trends; Develop and maintain technical documentation and project plans; Participate in client-facing meetings and presentations.
- Within 6 months: Develop repeatable and scalable processes to improve project quality and delivery; Be able to support the team on difficult integrations & troubleshooting issues; Contribute to our knowledge base to share best practices and lessons learned; Work with our partner ecosystem to strengthen the services proposed to our clients; Deliver platform audits to clients.
- Within 12 months: Contribute to our knowledge base to share best practices and lessons learned; Work with our partner ecosystem to strengthen the services proposed to our clients; Create and propose new services to our Professional Service catalog; Present our value proposition to prospects or other SaaS companies and 3rd party developers to encourage them to integrate with our platform.
The Skill Set
- 8+ years of experience supporting technical partnerships and integrations, developer relations, or similar technical role with external stakeholders; customer-facing background preferred (e.g., Sales Engineer, Technical Presales, Solution Architect, Technical consultant, Technical Project Manager, Technical Account Manager, Business Analyst).
- Excellent understanding of APIs and REST integrations.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of SaaS platforms, cloud-based solutions, and web technologies.
- Experience scoping projects, designing technical solutions, and delivering projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Ability to adapt your communication to different audiences (highly technical vs. less/non-technical stakeholders).
- Organized, structured, rational, and analytical way of working.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum is a plus.
