The Role: Senior Backend Engineer

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to play a crucial role in advancing our exciting and innovative product roadmap. The ideal candidate will possess 4-6 years of hands-on experience, demonstrating strong expertise in building scalable, reliable, and high-performing backend services. This will primarily involve using Node.js (NestJS), MongoDB, and cloud-native/serverless technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize systems capable of handling high throughput and mission-critical workloads.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs utilizing Node.js (NestJS framework).
• Build and optimize scalable data models and efficient queries within MongoDB.
• Architect and implement serverless applications leveraging AWS Lambda and the Serverless Framework.
• Integrate and manage asynchronous workflows effectively using Amazon SQS.
• Ensure the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability across distributed systems.
• Collaborate seamlessly with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver comprehensive end-to-end features.
• Actively participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and contribute significantly to technical discussions and decisions.

Who we are looking for:

• 4-6 years of professional software development experience specifically with Node.js.
• Strong experience with the NestJS framework for constructing scalable APIs.
• Strong experience with MongoDB, including schema design, aggregation, and performance optimization.
• Proven knowledge of AWS Lambda and Serverless architecture principles.
• Experience working with Amazon SQS for reliable messaging and event-driven workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and modern DevOps workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and comprehensive system design skills.
• Professional-level English proficiency or above.

Nice to have:

• Experience with other AWS services such as API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools like ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Datadog.
