We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for STEM undergraduates and recent undergraduate-level STEM talent with strong research ability, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently on open-ended information tasks. This role supports an exciting collaboration with leading AI companies focused on improving advanced AI systems through high-quality research support, structured analysis, and strong information evaluation skills grounded in STEM fundamentals. Selected professionals will contribute to independent research tasks, assess the credibility of information sources, apply STEM knowledge across technical topics, and help improve overall model quality. This opportunity is especially well-suited to intellectually curious candidates with strong information literacy, a solid undergraduate STEM foundation, and the ability to work carefully through complex research-oriented workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to independent, open-ended research tasks across STEM-related topics
• Apply undergraduate-level STEM knowledge to support structured project workflows
• Help ensure that research outputs reflect sound reasoning and strong information quality
• Evaluate the credibility and relevance of information sources
• Apply strong information literacy skills across technical research tasks
• Help maintain high standards for clarity, reliability, and judgment in research outputs
• Support AI training and evaluation workflows through careful research and analysis
• Contribute thoughtful, well-reasoned input across technical subject areas
• Help improve overall model quality through detail-oriented task execution

Ideal Profile

• Current enrollment in a STEM undergraduate program or completion of an undergraduate STEM degree with no advanced education
• Strong information literacy and the ability to evaluate source credibility
• Comfort working independently on open-ended research tasks
• Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic background in chemistry, physics, or engineering
• Strong familiarity with foundational STEM concepts relevant to technical research tasks
• Ability to work carefully and consistently in structured evaluation environments
• High attention to detail and sound judgment across research workflows

Contract Details

• Independent contractor role
• Fully remote with flexible scheduling
• Hourly compensation of $42 per hour
• Open to candidates currently enrolled in a STEM undergraduate program or those with undergraduate-level STEM education only
• U.S. person currently located in a Five Eyes country required
• Backgrounds involving explosives, pyrotechnics, demolition, or military EOD experience are not eligible for this opportunity
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance
• Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
• Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
