Business Intelligence Analyst
We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in business intelligence, SQL, data querying, data visualization, Tableau, Power BI, data modeling, warehousing, and structured analytics workflow review.
This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on business intelligence analysis, SQL and data-query review, dashboard assessment, data visualization evaluation, data modeling workflows, analytics documentation, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their BI and analytics expertise to review realistic data scenarios, evaluate analytical outputs, prepare structured written feedback, and support accurate, evidence-based business intelligence workflow tasks.
Key Responsibilities

- SQL, Data Querying & Analytics Review
Review business intelligence scenarios involving SQL queries, data extraction, reporting logic, business metrics, and analytical workflows - Evaluate data outputs against source requirements, business questions, query logic, and documented review criteria
- Support structured review of SQL outputs, metric definitions, data pulls, reporting tables, and analytics summaries
- Identify missing assumptions, query issues, metric inconsistencies, and expected BI review outcomes
- Dashboard, Visualization & Reporting Support
Review materials involving dashboards, charts, KPI reports, Tableau or Power BI outputs, and business performance summaries - Evaluate visualizations for clarity, accuracy, usability, metric alignment, and stakeholder relevance
- Support structured review of dashboard specs, reporting layouts, chart interpretations, executive summaries, and analytics documentation
- Prepare clear written feedback based on source materials and verifiable criteria
- Data Modeling, Warehousing & Structured Feedback
Review scenarios involving data modeling, warehouse tables, semantic layers, data pipelines, and reporting infrastructure - Provide structured feedback on data accuracy, modeling logic, workflow realism, and analytics communication quality
- Support evaluation workflows involving AI-generated analytics plans, BI documentation, dashboard recommendations, and data model explanations
- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- Professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, dashboard development, analytics engineering, data warehousing, or related roles
- Background in one or more areas such as SQL, data querying, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, data modeling, warehousing, KPI reporting, or business analytics
- Familiarity with workflows involving metric definitions, dashboard design, data pulls, reporting pipelines, stakeholder requests, and analytics documentation
- Comfort reading and preparing BI artifacts such as SQL queries, dashboard specs, KPI reports, data dictionaries, reporting tables, and analysis summaries
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
Educational Background
A degree or professional background in business analytics, data analytics, statistics, information systems, computer science, economics, finance, mathematics, or a related analytical field is helpful.
