About the Role

10a Labs is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to document a suite of developer products and tools on a short-term contract basis. You will create clear, practical resources for developers and partner organizations integrating large-language-models (LLM) and vector database-based systems. Responsibilities include producing API and SDK documentation, conceptual guides, and workshop materials that simplify complex technical capabilities for actionable learning.

In This Role, You Will

• Produce comprehensive API, SDK, and developer documentation.
• Create conceptual guides and workshop materials.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and research teams.
• Translate complex AI and infrastructure systems into practical materials.
• Utilize docs-as-code workflows including Git/GitHub, Markdown, and static site generators.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical writing experience with a strong portfolio.
• Experience with API, SDK, and developer documentation.
• Proficiency with docs-as-code workflows and coding in at least one language (Python, TypeScript, etc.).
• Understanding of modern software development practices including version control, testing, dependency management, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to clarity and accuracy.
• Self-directed and adaptable with cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bonus: experience with AI/ML tools, prompt engineering, LLM safety, and API specs (OpenAPI/Swagger).
