About this role
As a Dynamic Environments Engineer at Stoke, you will define and own the dynamic environments strategy for the Nova launch vehicle, focusing on vibration, shock, and acoustic environments. What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in dynamic environments or structural dynamics
- Experience with NASTRAN or similar for dynamic analyses, especially modal
- Experience predicting environments with vibroacoustic analysis software such as Wave6 or VAOne
- Programming skills in MATLAB or Python
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with aerospace testing standards (SMC-S-016, GEVS, etc)
- Experience with launch vehicle or rocket engine dynamic environments
- Experience defining and refining acoustic forcing functions related to plume acoustics and aero-acoustics
