As a Senior Field Engineer at Cognite, you will engage with clients to translate high-level strategies into functioning AI solutions using Cognite Atlas AI™ and Cognite Data Fusion®. Your role involves leading the design and implementation of innovative industrial agents, conducting use case workshops, and acting as a liaison between field operations and product development to enhance Cognite's offerings in Industrial DataOps.

What you need
- 3+ years in forward deployed engineering/pre-sales engineering roles ideally in enterprise SaaS, cloud platforms, or industrial software companies
- Strong engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Machine Learning
- Strong foundation in Python and deep understanding of the GenAI landscape (embeddings, RAG, and prompt chaining)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability and interest to travel up to 50% as needed

- Education or experience in the industrial space (e.g., Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or Control System Engineering)
- Previous customer facing or sales experience
- Experience with real-world variables in industries like Energy, Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Life Sciences, or Discrete
- Excitement to bridge traditional heavy industry with Autonomous Operations via Cognite Data Fusion® and Agentic AI
