About this role
In this role, you will be part of the Value Engineering team, working closely with customers and sales teams to visualize and communicate the value of Cognite's solutions. Your responsibilities include developing value propositions, conducting value estimations, and supporting executive engagement to close large contracts. You will also track realized value post-implementation and advocate for standardized value communication within the company.

What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Value Engineer or Value Consultant at a software vendor, or experience in management/operations consulting at a top-tier consulting firm.
- Demonstrated ability to quantitatively visualize the value of IT/OT solutions using financial data, interview insights, and appropriate value drivers.
- Strong logical thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to structure public information and discovery insights into actionable solutions.
- Ability to understand global tools and methodologies and optimize them for Japanese business practices and customer characteristics.
- Business-level fluency in Japanese and English.
Nice to have
- 7+ years of experience within, or consulting for, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power/Utilities, Pharmaceuticals, or Manufacturing industries.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate complex technical value in the language of business to C-suite stakeholders.
- Exceptional storytelling, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to build compelling narratives in the customer’s language.
- Proven ability to deliver results within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguous projects.
- Prior experience working in a Series A, B, or C startup environment.
