What you need
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- Direct experience with OSHA PSM and/or EPA RMP programs
- Experience facilitating process hazard analyses (HAZOP, What-If, LOPA)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and process design documentation
- Knowledge of core process safety elements: PHA, MOC, PSSR, operating procedures, PSI, mechanical integrity, incident investigation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with emergency response and the Incident Command System (ICS)
- Experience with LOPA and other risk assessment methods
- Experience in energy, refining, chemical processing, or similar facilities
- Familiarity with facility siting studies, combustible materials handling, or dust hazard analysis
- Experience establishing a process safety program at a non-PSM-covered company
