The Opportunity

This is an expert .Net full-stack software engineer role. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting secure, scalable, and robust applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical issues, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to propose and implement enhancements. This role involves leading and collaborating on the development of enterprise solutions, demonstrating expertise and mastery, and working independently with minimal supervision.

Day in the Life

In a fast-paced agile/scrum environment, you will:
  • Develop basic to highly advanced code and designs for new and existing technology systems, adhering to company standards.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation.
  • Participate in peer code and design reviews to ensure high-quality, production-ready code.
  • Build and maintain applications that meet or exceed industry regulatory requirements.
  • Foster collaboration with team members, technical colleagues, and business partners.
  • Ensure compliance with established SDLC frameworks (requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, release management, deployment).
  • Ensure compliance with all company audit and security requirements.
  • Exercise discretion and good judgment in decision-making.
  • Review code for complex maintainability, coding standards, and security issues.
  • Collaborate with architects on developing and reviewing solutions.
  • Lead teams to meet project commitments, including goals, objectives, and delivery dates.
  • Lead and author technical specifications and detailed designs.
  • Provide engineering leadership and mentorship to all levels of engineering staff.
  • Lead large-scale software projects from conception to completion, driving technical strategy and innovation.
  • Conceptualize, plan, design, and build software to solve complex problems.
  • Participate in and follow established agile standards for efficient development and meeting project goals.
  • Foster innovation to improve existing challenges and realize new opportunities.
  • Travel as needed to perform position responsibilities.
  • Be available for on-call duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a related technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten years of professional work experience in software development (C# preferred).
  • Three years of experience as a subject matter expert. Years of experience may be offset by proficiency in highly specialized technologies or skills.
  • Expert-level proficiency in computer engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Ability to modify existing code and write highly advanced scripts according to standards and best practices.
  • Advanced experience coding in a cloud environment (Azure highly preferred).
  • Expert-level full-stack engineer with knowledge in two or more modern programming languages.
  • Thorough understanding of databases, including creation of basic to highly advanced SQL statements.
  • Expert-level technical skills in API, front-end, back-end, and data development and architecture.
