Associate Informatics Analyst - Continuing Professional Education
The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) department at UT MD Anderson offers premier educational and training opportunities for healthcare professionals. Its primary goal is to improve cancer patient care by strengthening the clinical skills and knowledge of medical professionals across all aspects of cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
The Associate Informatics Analyst assists in the development of reports and studies that correlate clinical, financial, billing and demographic data for UT MD Anderson patients and geographic populations. With guidance from the supervisor or senior analyst, delivers information and knowledge.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills. They have experience cleaning raw data, troubleshooting inconsistencies, and investigating why data differs between systems. Experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation, is preferred, along with intermediate to advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables and data filtering. Experience with CloudCME is a plus.
Key Functions
- Assists in the development of reports and studies that correlate clinical, financial, billing and demographic data for MD Anderson patients and geographic populations. With guidance from the supervisor or senior analyst, delivers information and knowledge.
- Create, configure and ensure data integrity of continuing education activities to ensure accurate metadata, completion tracking, and compliance in CE Broker.
- Process, validate, and troubleshoot the accurate transmission of continuing education activity and learner completion data from CloudCME to CE Broker in accordance with state licensure requirements.
- Develops an understanding of the data contained within the CloudCME system, CE Broker, Joint Accreditation Program and Activity Reporting System (JA-PARS) and learns to use it appropriately when providing analysis and other deliverables.
- Assists in providing stakeholder and end-user support regarding data sources, as well as guidance in the use of CloudCME system and CE Broker and reporting applications.
- Analyze learner feedback and program data to develop dashboards, reports, and actionable insights that support accreditation, compliance and program performance.
- Provides assistance by delivering information to support various projects that include but are not limited to education effectiveness in relation to accreditation compliance.
- Demonstrates an ability to integrate credit reporting, activity, and evaluation, demographic and other data from various sources when conducting analysis and preparing reports.
- Consults with the manager to ensure that all deliverables are accurate, complete and contain definitions, sources of data and department identification.
- Provides support and assistance with department and division projects.
- Works with others in the department to provide information to the institution, divisions and departments to support short-term and long-range planning.
- Provides customer support for the products deployed by the department.

EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Healthcare or related field.
- Preferred: Master's Degree Business Administration or related field.
Work Experience
- Required: Three years Business/finance experience.
- May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis.
