About the Role
The School of Medical Sciences is seeking a Senior Administration Officer to manage general administrative services and provide operational support to the school office. This role is crucial in organizing events, preparing documents, managing records, responding to complex inquiries, providing policy and procedure advice, and supporting staff and students to ensure efficient administrative operations.Targeted Role: This position is specifically targeted for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, under the provisions of section 126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). Applicants will be required to provide confirmation of identity if their application progresses.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage school events, including retreats, whole-of-school meetings, and seminars.
- Provide high-quality organizational support and administration operations services to the School of Medical Sciences, including support for school working groups.
- Coordinate the casual academic onboarding process, liaising with teaching academics for activity allocation and recording.
- Maintain accurate and organized records, ensuring proper filing and accessibility of important documents.
- Respond to complex inquiries and prepare advice, recommendations, and solutions on administrative, policy, and operational matters.
- Provide faculty-specific administration services and support for education, staffing, and student-related activities.
- Contribute to the FMH administration support community of practice and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities appropriate to the classification level.

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, business administration, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Working understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) policy and relevant legislation.
