Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate / Senior Associate to join our Southeast Asia Institutional Business Development (BD) team. In this role, you will work closely with senior institutional BD members to support our day-to-day operations, drive engagement and AUM growth with both existing and prospective Limited Partners (LPs) and assist with strategic initiatives.

The selected candidate will interact and collaborate with our clients and prospects and very closely with senior professionals across various teams including business development, research and investment across all asset classes (private debt, private equity, infrastructure and real estate), legal and compliance, monitoring and reporting, among others, to meet our client’s requirements about the firm’s service offerings and investment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Servicing & LP Coverage: Support the Southeast Asia institutional BD team in managing relationships with existing and prospective LPs. Assist senior BD members to provide top-tier client servicing, which includes answering investor queries, arranging meetings and coordinating with internal asset class teams to ensure timely follow-ups.

  • RFP Coordination: Assist in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process by coordinating with various investment and internal data analytics teams to craft, review, and finalize high-quality responses.
  • Marketing & Events: Support the planning and execution of product marketing roadshows and client events when needed. Be the liaison point with internal marketing team.
  • Presentations: Create, prepare, and maintain periodic slide decks for internal global BD presentations and sometimes for external client meetings. Critically assess the veracity and applicability of content provided by asset class teams for pitches/proposals. Provide input on developing new and enhancing existing presentation content for marketing materials
  • Internal sales management: Assist with logging salesforce for all BD activities and any ad hoc reports required by global BD management
  • Strategic Projects: Perform and assist with other ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to the BD function as needed.
  • Sourcing and fundraising: For a candidate who demonstrates exceptional capability and maturity, the role also entails undertaking investor outreach, growing our pool of prospective LPs, soliciting StepStone offerings across the various asset classes.

Qualifications & Requirements
