Sodexo is seeking a motivated and experienced Multi-Unit Controller to join our team in Nashville, TN. This role is crucial for overseeing all financial and accounting operations for a district or large multi-unit national account. About the Role
The Multi-Service Controller is responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including cash management, general ledger entries, tax compliance, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and financial analysis and reporting for units with multiple service types. Working closely with General Managers and District Managers, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the profitability and efficiency of our food and beverage operations. This hybrid role involves approximately 40-50% travel in the Nashville and surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and financial matters for a multi-unit, multi-service district.
- Manage cash management, credit transactions, general ledger entries, tax and compliance, payroll, accounts payable and receivable.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting for multiple units.
- Partner with operations teams and department heads to ensure adherence to Sodexo’s standards for accuracy, efficiency, quality, and financial performance.
- Maximize revenue and operational excellence through implementation and oversight of accounting systems and policies.
- Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to management to maximize revenues and profits.
- Lead by example and provide financial training to unit personnel to support Sodexo’s goals.
- Review financial data for accuracy during weekend, period-end, and year-end closes.
- Ensure contract compliance for all transactions during weekly, monthly, and annual closes.
- Manage all cost centers, including account reconciliations, accounts payable, billing, budget, reporting, inventory, and transfers.
- Perform trend analysis and analyze year-over-year spending variances to aid decision-making and budgeting.
- Build strong relationships across all organizational levels to ensure operational effectiveness.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
