About the role
Gas Turbine - Combustion Product Definition Engineer
Siemens Energy is looking for talented individuals to help energize society and fight climate change. We are seeking a Product Definition Engineer responsible for the product definition of gas turbine components using NX, Teamcenter, and SAP. The ideal candidate will understand functional, assembly, and manufacturing requirements and develop innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand product structure, design requirements, and design principles.
- Design and detail Gas Turbine stationary & rotating components.
- Create 3D CAD models & drawings for gas turbine components & assemblies.
- Develop new product designs and product assemblies.
- Document design data and product definition.
- Collaborate with project leads to understand requirements, provide engineering data, and deliver design activities within agreed timelines.
- Work within a team and with cross-functional teams, including global teams outside India.
- Perform 3D modeling, detailing, and drawing checks.
- Create bills of materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2.5 to 6 years of experience in Turbomachinery Design engineering & Product definition.
- Proficiency in NX (Unigraphics) for designing and detailing complex components and assemblies.
- Strong understanding of Mechanical design fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations.
- Very good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per BS 8888 or ASME Y-14.5.
- Experience in Gas Turbine Component and System Design or any turbomachinery design experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-cultural collaboration.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones.
