Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital that has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for over a century, opening its doors in 1890. Job Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry Unit is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice, directs and guides patient/family teaching, and oversees the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining high standards of care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
- Communicating with physicians regarding changes in patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring and results of diagnostic studies.
- Responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and must maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and must maintain current.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
