Sr Principal Project Manager, Physical Security
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector (NGDS) is seeking a Sr. Principal Project Manager to join our physical security team. This multifaceted role focuses on Enterprise physical security and converged network security, bridging the gap between IT infrastructure and physical facility protection. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with physical security systems, a drive for diverse assignments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. You should possess deep familiarity with modern physical access control systems (PACS) and video management software (VMS), acting as a primary responder for security incidents and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities
- Manage projects within physical security and converged network security.
- Bridge the gap between IT infrastructure and physical facility protection.
- Develop solutions to complex problems through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a primary responder for security incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
- Oversee enterprise-wide Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Video Systems.
- Handle system design, programming, IT integration, and management of security device subnets and firewall rules.
- Execute detailed root cause analyses and partner with cross-functional teams for risk-mitigation.
- Lead projects related to Lenel OnGuard, Digital Monitoring Product (DMP), AXIS, ExacqVision, and Milestone.
- Prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 14 years of relevant experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience; OR
- Master’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with proven knowledge in deploying security and network equipment following approved topology, designing supporting infrastructure, and troubleshooting integrated physical security systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge executing the deployment of security and management of security device subnets and firewall rules.
- Proven track record as a primary incident responder, executing detailed root cause analyses, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive risk-mitigation solutions.
- Project Management experience (minimum 7 years).
- Ability to lead and manage projects related to specific security systems (Lenel OnGuard, DMP, AXIS, ExacqVision, Milestone).
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, planning, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships.
- Knowledgeable in ICD 705, NISPOM, and applicable UL standards.
- Active DOD Top Secret clearance required.

- At least 5 years of experience installing server and client software with a demonstrated understanding of system operational and maintenance requirements (licensing, updates, virtual ports, bandwidth/storage, system hardening).
